上海财经大学法学院关于举办“欧洲专利实践研讨会”的通知

自从加入世界贸易组织以来,中国经济的改革开放和迅猛发展使得知识产权日益成为人们所瞩目的焦点。进一步推动中国与欧美国家的知识产权保护、学术研究等领域的合作与交流势在必行。在这种新的形势下,无论是知识产权代理机构、企业,司法审判机构抓紧培养和锻炼一批熟悉知识产权司法保护业务的专门人才,掌握了解欧洲专利法的司法制度,越来越引起有关单位的关注。
为了让国内众多机构了解欧洲专利法,康信知识产权代理有限公司、上海财经大学法学院共同主办“欧洲专利实践研讨会”,会议将于

(简介)
:
Rainer A. Kuhnen is a founding partner of the Kuhnen & Wacker Patent Law Firm P.C. in Freising (Munich), Germany and specializes in patent prosecution, litigation and M&A. Kuhnen was awarded a master’s degree of Diplom-Ingenieur in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich. He was qualified as a patent attorney in 1974. Among other organizations, he is a member of the European Patent Institute, FICPI (International Federation of Industrial Property Attorneys), LES (Licensing Executives Society) and ABA (American Bar Association). He is frequently invited to lecture on German and European Patent Practice by U.S. and Japanese law firms and schools, including The John Marshall Law School, Chicago and George Mason University, Washington, D.C. Rainer Kuhnen was the responsible attorney that handled the landmark case “Epilady v. Remington” and has been selected to appear in the Expert Guide to the World’s Leading Patent Law Experts 2005 published by Legal Media Group.
Dr. M. Andrew May is head of the chemical department of Kuhnen & Wacker and specializes in organic, inorganic and physical chemistry as well as crystallography. Andrew May was awarded a master’s degree of Diplom-Chemiker (chemistry) in 1988 and a Ph.D. in 1991 from Georg-August-University, Göttingen, and qualified as a patent attorney in 1995. Prior to joining Kuhnen & Wacker, he worked as a patent attorney with a major German patent law firm and with the patent department of Novartis International AG in Basel with the main focus on MCD (Metabolic and Cardiovaskular diseases) and oncology. He is a member of the European Patent Institute, AIPPI, FICPI and LES.
Paul-Alexander Wacker, is also a founding partner of Kuhnen & Wacker. After studying heavy current technology, computer-integrated manufacturing, telecommunications and computer technology, he graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a master’s degree as Diplom-Ingenieur in electronics in 1970 and was awarded a further master’s degree as Diplom-Wirtsch.-Ing. in economics in 1972. He qualified as a patent attorney in 1975 and founded one of Germany’s major and best reputed law firms with Rainer Kuhnen. Paul-Alexander Wacker has for many years been giving lectures at universities in Germany and abroad. He is also a well-known lecturer at AIPLA and LES-Conferences. In addition to his technical background, Paul-Alexander is the head of the trademark department of Kuhnen & Wacker and has gained a reputation for counselling clients on German, European and world-wide IP-strategy and evaluation.
